A Counsellor A Listener A Learner

I was drawn to philosophy during my undergraduate studies, and it made me realize that the subject could be applied to all aspects of our lives and the way we perceive them. Moreover, I found it so interesting that I wanted other people to have access to it because we all have a certain way of looking at ourselves and the world around us, we all have a philosophy of life.

Having done my Hons. in Philosophy from Miranda House and master’s and research in Philosophy of Mind from Panjab University, Chandigarh; I got my license to practice from American Philosophical Practitioners Association.

I’ve always been curious about knowing people and having a conversation with them to understand ‘how they function’ and ‘why they function the way they do’. Together we will explore and identify the beliefs and patterns that are keeping you from experiencing your life in the healthiest and most fulfilling ways.

Through philosophical counselling, I have found a way to bring philosophy into people’s lives; I am able to help my clients make sense of their problems and carve out a path in their lives.

I understand and respect the courage it takes to come for counselling and my aim is to provide you with a safe space and support you on your way forward.

What a Philosophical counselling session feels like:

Simply put, it is therapy for the soul.

Life will inevitably throw you some curve balls, but with some help, you can practice to think in an effective way, so that you can deal with them on your own.
So, think of a philosophical counselling session as having a conversation with a ‘philosopher friend’, who will accompany you on your life journey to ‘know yourself’ and help you experience life in a meaningful way

Why Philosophical Counselling

Everyone has issues they need to deal with, and while possibly stressful situations don’t necessarily mean you may have a mental illness, I want to remind you there are people out there who want to help if you’re feeling overwhelmed or anxious.

I do not believe in Diagnosing a client according to limited terms which define how a ‘normal human being’ should be. I believe people are unique, and I give importance to their power of reasoning. So, I encourage the person’s active participation during our conversation, which further helps them take charge of their lives.
